Nagpur, the second capital of Maharashtra state has a strategic place among the international aviation routes. Being at the centre of the country, it’s at the crossing of the air routes between Europe and South-East Asia, as well as between South Africa and North-East Asia. In view of the location, Nagpur has a good potential to become an International and Domestic Hub Airport for all North-South-East-West air traffic.

The project involved the addition of a terminal building and a cargo complex in order to improve the capacity corresponding to passenger demand for the forthcoming 5-7 years of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport serving as a customs airport to the city of Nagpur.

The Airport capacity increased from 2 MPPA to 6 MPPA. The throughput of screening at SHA doubled from 800 Pax to 1600 Pax. Two additional entry gates make the terminal building L-shaped, making it a total of 4 entry gates. Increase in the no. of ticketing windows and airline offices, no. of check-in counters, no. of security check-in counters and waiting, frisking and boarding area. Two additional aerobridges proposed along with increase in no. of gates at air side.

In a significant development for the Vidarbha region, the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park was inaugurated by the honorable CM of Maharashtra. It is poised to become a major tourist attraction giving the much needed push to tourism and hospitality growth in the region.

Nagpur, also identified as as the Tiger Capital of India among the wildlife enthusiasts as many national parks and tiger reserves are in and around the city, where tourists flock in huge numbers to soak in the pristine wilderness. Our vision was to design an exemplary Zoological Park that will bring Nagpur on the International Map with all major attractions all under one roof while also providing a safe habitat for the animals to live in.

The park recently initiated the Indian Safari consisting of Leopard Safari, Tiger Safari, Sloth Bear Safari, and Herbivore Safari. When fully operational, this ambitious project, spread across 1914Ha of land, will have several other tourist attractions like, the African safari, the Night Safari, Bio Park, Bird Park, Several Nature Trails and many more.  A number of visitor facilities like interpretation centers, souvenir shops, restaurants and spacious parking lots, makes the Gorewada experience a truly world class one. Moreover, a Rescue Centre was also designed and developed next to the park consisting of veterinary hospital, testing labs, quarantine cells etc. thus catering to the wildlife in the region.

The aim of the project was to develop a world-class zoological park without impeding the natural habitat and thriving wild life, but to flourish habitat for the animals so that they feel safe and at home. After meticulous planning, animals were released into naturalistic large enclosures in a carefully calibrated manner were they can roam freely in their natural habitat, while the tourists can relish the experience sitting in the comfort of vehicles fitted with broad glass panels to maximize viewing pleasure.

We conceptualized and materialized the project by taking onboard our team of experts and were able to transform the forest into an iconic & the largest Safari Park in the heart of India. The park was also created to conserve the flora and fauna in the region. We were also successful in transplanting trees successfully to other areas within the park.
